Birds are one of the most populous life forms on the planet, leading to richness of life and beauty. These are the integral part of the ecosystem and serves innumerable purposes, which includes insect and rodent population control, distribution of seeds, that works as a conservator of forestry.
Gorumara National Park is a birdwatcher`s paradise with it`s rich biodiversity, prominently reflected in it`s varied avi-fauna.
So far, 264 variety of birds of different categories are noted in the park and some of those are rarest of rare.
